Small, Positive Life Updates
I know, I know… it has been almost three months since my last blog entry. Please be kind - I have a terribly busy schedule between work, school, and extracurricular activities. This blog is on my back-burner - certainly not spouting off steam and requiring my immediate, undivided attention!
That all being said, I wanted to type up a few positive life happenings and thoughts. Since my last update, I:
Completed my first semester as a Masters student;
Received and accepted the offer to continue working this summer as a part-time GA;
Hit my two-year mark with SCREENEZE® and received a raise;
Added some more content to this portfolio website for good measure;
Intentionally lost a considerable amount of weight;
Traveled to New Orleans, LA and Nashville, TN.
While it has been a whirlwind of a year already (to say the least), I am incredibly excited to see what the rest of this year has in store for me - both positive and negative. There are so many life lessons that have already become apparent this year, but one of the biggest takeaways has been to appreciate the individual moments (and no, not in a sappy, written-in-script-on-driftwood way).
In a self-reflective way, I realize that much of my focus up to this moment has been about getting to my end goals - be those in love, life, career, or any other facet. What I’ve been forgetting to do, though, is enjoy the journey and the individual moments that usher towards my destinations. This is why, in part, I plan to travel more this summer and experience more newness.
Life is amazing, spunky, and curious, but it is also just as equally scary, unnerving, and heavy. This year I will continue to take the good with the bad and aim to end net positive, with more knowledge than before. Hopefully you all are able to do the same!
